At this point, we all know that we should be using a VPN anytime we’re online. The thing is there are so many VPNs out there and they all offer something different prices, different logging policies, and different features. That’s not always necessarily a bad thing we need things to be different for the sake of innovation. Today we’re going to take a look at CHEAP VPN for November 2024
1) Surfshark VPN
My first suggestion of the day is Surfshark VPN. If you’re on the hunt for a cheap VPN it is significantly more affordable than competitors like ExpressVPN or NordVPN. The basic plan can be used on an unlimited number of devices and has an impressive array of features like its clean web ad blocker. If you want an upgrade you can upgrade to the Surfshark VPN 1 plan. This includes a robust antivirus program designed to protect against all types of malware. an anti-virus alone would cost much more than other providers. So I’d say this qualifies as one of the best budget-friendly VPN options available.
Surfshark VPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee with all of their plans. so you can try it out risk-free before deciding if it’s right for you.
Security
The most important factor to take into consideration when looking for affordable VPNs or cheap VPNs is security. Some lower-price providers make up for their cheap prices at the cost of selling user data to third parties. Surfshark RAM-only servers guarantee that this situation will never happen to you. They’re wiped completely clean after each reboot granted.
The company is technically based in the Netherlands which is a member of the N9 Eyes Alliance. I don’t consider this to be a deal breaker since their no logs policy has been audited and came back squeaky clean.
Additionally, Surfshark software employs dependable tunneling protocols and utilizes advanced encryption techniques. There’s also a kill switch which acts as a plan B disconnecting you from your network should the VPN connection ever become unstable.
Features and Streaming
When selecting the best cheap VPN another thing to look at is whether the provided features are enough to suit your needs. Even though Surfshark ranks among other budget VPNs it is certainly a feature Rich.
Split tunneling is a great way to customize your VPN and experience even more. It enables you to whitelist specific sites and apps that you don’t want the app to route through. This is ideal if say you’re watching a foreign TV series in the background but still need to Surf through your local sites.
The CeanWeb not only blocks annoying advertisements, popups, and trackers but also prevents malware and Phishing attempts. On top of that Surfshark has a few features that increase your overall security and boost online anonymity.
Using VPN for Streaming Entertainment
This app is capable of accessing tons of streaming content on pretty much all major platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Mac, YouTube, and many more. You’ll have plenty of variety to choose from with a fleet of over 3200+ servers in 100 countries. when I did speed tests in multiple locations. I can say that the rates are more than enough to watch any TV series and do your daily browsing totally lag-free.
As you can see Surfshark is not only one of the cheapest VPN options. It’s also just one of the best-value VPN apps you can find.
2) NordVPN
My second nomination for the best cheap VPN is Nord VPN. This has been my go-to provider for a while as it’s the perfect tool for online privacy and security. It provides excellent features and performance while keeping the price very affordable. NordVPN does cost more than Surfshark but I still consider that price very reasonable considering that you’re getting high-quality features and the fastest connection speeds on the market.
There are three plans to choose from so you can select which one fits your budget and online needs. plus all of them allow use on up to 10 devices simultaneously. It’s a bit of a bummer that the malware protection is no longer included on the basic plan but if you’re interested in upgrading to the Plus plan you’ll get that plus a Tracker and ad blocker, password, manager, and data breach scanner. From my extensive testing, I found that Nord VPN is the most secure VPN you can get your hands on. It features RAM-only servers, a secure kill switch, cutting-edge protocols, and top-tier encryption standards.
Additionally, the company abides by a no-logs policy that has been audited four times. all right so what are you going to get with a Nord VPN subscription then? just like with Surfshark the basic plan comes with auto-connect a double VPN option and split tunneling. there’s also a dark web monitoring feature that will notify you if your personal information like emails or passwords is leaked onto the dark web. The Meshnet feature is a convenient way to connect multiple devices remotely while maintaining high levels of privacy and security.
The basic plan used to include their threat protection feature which has anti-virus capabilities but unfortunately now it’s only available with the more expensive plans. keep in mind finding the best budget VPN should never mean sacrificing speed and after doing my testing I conclude that NordVPN has the fastest speeds of all the nominations on my list today.
This comes in handy when unlocking access to streaming content, which NodVPN successfully did. I could unblock all major streaming platforms at fast consistent speeds granted I occasionally needed to troubleshoot but this came in the form of Simply switching servers. this isn’t a problem though seeing as there are well over 6,300 options to choose from in 111 countries.
As you can see, NordVPN ranks as one of the best cheap VPNs. It’s the best option for literally any situation. If you’re looking for fast speeds, top-tier protection, tons of features, and excellent streaming capabilities, then this is a foolproof choice.
3) IVACY VPN
my suggestion for the best VPN on a budget IVACY is a bit lesser known but still earns a spot thanks to its low price and Security. Even though this provider offers fewer features than my first two options it’s still a great option for someone looking for a simple VPN at an affordable price. There’s a lot of flexibility in their pricing tiers and their five-year option is even cheaper than other vpn’s 2-year ones.
If you’re unsure and afraid to choose the wrong provider no sweat. IVACY lets you try out their Premium plan for a full day before paying and their 30-day money-back guarantee gives you more than enough time to decide.
security wise the app comes with the same standard encryption as NordVPN and SurfShark plus has a couple of great tunneling protocols. There’s also a Nifty kill switch though it’s a bummer that it isn’t available for Mac or iOS devices yet.
IVACY is accessible on most platforms and you’ll get coverage on 10 devices simultaneously. As I mentioned this isn’t the most feature-rich VPN out there but it does offer split tunneling and Smart Connect. There’s also a multiport feature that when enabled automatically connects you to the most ideal Port.
I was actually pretty surprised to see a Weare protection tool too and if you’re interested a dedicated IP is available at an additional cost. That said for those of you looking for a VPN with an abundance of features Nord VPN is a better alternative.
However, if you’re just looking for the cheapest VPN that covers your security needs then IVACY is a super affordable option. and to be fair this provider does come with a pretty extensive server Fleet. there are over 5,700 options available in 55 countries.
On the downside, my speed test showed below-average results. Similarly, the app wasn’t very successful at accessing International streaming content. It did open a few platforms but the slow speed still made it difficult to watch. Overall considering the security and price point it’ll be a good choice for some of you out there.
4) CyberGhost VPN
My next nominee for the best budget VPN is CyberGhost VPN. Which has a slightly different pricing system. All three plans contain the same great features however the cost changes according to length of subscription duration. The lengthiest package is only a little more than $2 per month and there’s a 45-day money-back guarantee which is longer than any of today’s other providers.
If we look at security measures the CyberGhost VPN does have an audited no logs policy but to be completely transparent they do log certain data such as Hardware information. That said it is located in a privacy-friendly jurisdiction and all of the tunneling protocols and encryptions are right on par with today’s other VPNs. The app even includes no spy servers adds an additional cost which are unique to CyberGhost VPN and ensures that no third party ever has access to them.
Each subscription plan provides you with simultaneous use on seven devices. It’s not quite as feature as NordVPN or Surfshark. A package with CyberGhost VPN includes specialty servers for torrenting streaming and gaming and enabling the smart rules feature allows you to customize your server performances. There’s a useful ad blocker for an additional fee. You can add on a dedicated IP. I didn’t experience any problems when it came to streaming. The specialty servers were able to unblock all of the content I wanted without a problem.
I found many servers to switch between when searching for international TV series. Their website no longer displays the exact number of servers in their fleet. The last time I checked they had more than 11,000 to choose from in 100 countries. Certainly no shortage of variety there. Thanks to CyberGhost VPN fast speeds.
So, CyberGhost VPN qualifies as one of the best cheap VPNs because of its excellent security measures and implementation of basic features.
5) Total VPN
Total VPN isn’t particularly special compared to well-known Standalone providers. However, it is a great all-in-one solution for security and privacy.
6) windscribe
Windscribe is also a decent VPN that offers stable connection speeds reliable security and a variety of unique features. I found its streaming capabilities to be a bit average as it wasn’t able to access as many platforms as other VPNs. However, it does offer a free plan which you don’t see too often.
So NordVPN is the best overall Choice thanks to its fast speeds top tier security and a slew of extra features. Surfshark is the best budget option out there as it offers coverage on an unlimited number of devices and has incredible streaming abilities.
CyberGhost VPN on the other hand has the largest server Network I’ve ever seen. so if you need lots of variety they’ve got you covered. IVACY is the best long-term budget solution. Thanks to their lengthy subscription plans and lower prices. I hope you were able to find a VPN that best suits your exact needs.
