New Top 6 Games to Play in August 2024

These are the New Top 6 games that are going to be released in August 2024 and these are coming to the PlayStation 5 Xbox series and PC Now we’ve got quite a few games to cover today but drop a comment below telling me which games you were looking forward to.

1 ) Star Wars Outlaws

One of the most anticipated and talked about games of August is Star Wars Outlaws. we saw the initial trailer back in 2023 and since then we’ve seen more gameplay and details released that had a bit of a mixed reception.

The timeline of this game is set between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. You play as a brand new character called K along with a sidekick Nicks. Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world game where you can explore fast travel between points and planets as well as drive around on your speeder. In this game your mission is to try and pull off the biggest Heist the outer rim has ever seen. You can choose to either go in stealth or guns blazing. I tried both during my 4-hour preview but it’s incredibly satisfying using Nicks to distract or attack enemies while you sneak up and finish them off.

There are also lots of mini-games where you can bet and earn credits which can then be used in the shop or to bribe guards. There are also contracts and bounties you can take on which kind of acts like a side quest. There are even Rhythm-based games and combos you’ll need to do to unlock crates. Now I’ll be honest the graphics aren’t amazing and from the early gameplay, there are quite a few bugs and questionable AI. This is a large open World Star Wars game which could be a lot of fun to play.

Star Wars Outlaws Launches on August 30th on PS5 Xbox series and PC. unless you opt for the gold or ultimate editions then you’ll get to play this 3 days early on August the 27th.

2 ) Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth Wukong is an upcoming RPG from game science. From the early gameplay and trailers that we’ve seen this is already shaping up to be an awesome game. Just look at the visuals and the graphics on this it has to be one of the best-looking games that we’ve seen in quite some time.

The story is based on one of the four Great classical novels of Chinese literature Journey to the West. you play as the destined one who is based on Wukong The Monkey King who gets to explore and navigate through the various locations including snow and forests with loads of weird and terrifying-looking creatures.

In the game, your primary weapon is a staff. which has various abilities and appears to be pretty versatile. it can be used for combat long and short range as well as what appears to be a fire ring. If you enjoy games like Elder Ring or Lies of P.

You might even feel like this game has already been out for years. The initial trailer was back in 2020 so literally 4 years ago anyway Black Myth: Wukong is finally launching on August 20th and that’s coming to the PlayStation 5 and PC. It’s also coming to the Xbox series but it hasn’t yet got a confirmed date.

3 ) Level Zero: Extraction

Level zero extraction is a multiplayer extraction horror with FPS combat where you need to embark on dangerous Expeditions either Solo or with a team. It looks dark it looks Moody and in some scenes pretty terrifying.

You can either play as a human or a player-controlled alien essentially making this a PVPVPVE game. The unique Gunplay movement and health systems and the choice between what Loot and weapons to carry. Interestingly, only certain weapons will work on the aliens. This game sort of gives me the Perfect Blend of horror survival games with extraction shoo to create this whole new multiplayer experience.

The level zero extraction drops on August the 13th on PC via Early Access although it is coming to the PS5 and Xbox series. We’ve not got a confirmed date for this yet.

4) Black Ops 6 BETA

If you’re a Call of Duty fan you’ll be pleased to know that the Early Access beta for Black Ops 6 multiplayer drops on August 30th.

This is what feels like the 75th installment of COD but we’re back with the Black Ops series which, to be honest, is one of my favorites. I am really hyped to play this one although it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure.

Top 6 Games

It’s going to be set in the early ’90s and it’s a continuation of the Cold War Story and guess what we’re getting the classic Prestige system back. To get Early Access on August 30th you need to have pre-ordered the game for a code.

Otherwise, if you can hold out until September the 6th the beta will be open to everyone.

5 ) VALORANT

Last month it was released as part of a closed beta where you needed to request a code well it’s now open to everyone. If you’re on PlayStation 5 and you fancy giving this game a go I would highly recommend it.

It’s a 5v5 tactical shooter game where you need to work as a team to win the objective. I remember watching streams when it was first released back on PC. Its tactical is vibrant and unlike Concord, it’s free to play.

6 ) Madden NFL 25

If you’re a sports fan you’ll be pleased to hear that Madden NFL 25 is dropping in August. It’s mostly the same I mean there’s only so much they can change or add each year.

There are some nice new additions to the game that are worth mentioning we’ve got boom Tech and a return of hit sticks. Boom Tech is a physics-based tackling mechanic that has literally Taken 2 years to develop and it uses timing, momentum, weight, speed, and strength to determine the outcome of every tackle.

They have said that this system is more than just a rag doll or organic physics but Dynamic using real-world physics. Watching these clips makes me wonder if I’ve been missing out all this time.

Madden NFL 25 Launches on August 16th and that’s coming to Playstation Xbox and PC.
